INGREDIENTS

  • 6 beets, peeled and sliced
  • 4 teaspoons (20g) salt

PREPARATION

  1. Mix together the beets and salt and place them in your Mortier Pilon fermentation jar. Cover with water and stir to dissolve the salt.
  2. Let the mixture ferment at room temperature, covered, for 3 days.
  3. To serve, pour the desired amount of kvass into a glass or drizzle over salad.
